Paula Deen is in Deep Butter Y’all

Paula Deen is in Deep Butter Y’all

That tub of crisco has officially hit the fan y’all! Paula Deen is in deep butter. On May 17nth the Queen of cream cheese dreams and fried and battered wishes was taped during a deposition where she admitted to using the N-word and telling racist jokes. Ms. Deen also came clean on her brother Bubba’s cocaine, pornography, and alcohol addiction.

The iconic 66 year old admitted to planning a wedding that she was putting together with blacks playing slaves while wearing white dinner jacket’s and black ties. Nothing say’s wedding like slavery y’all! What next? Will picking cotton precede the lucky couples nuptials?

With horrific accusations of racism and sexual abuse against the former General Manager, Lisa Jackson, to their Savannah, GA restaurant Paula Deen is in a big ole’ tub of butter with a lawsuit totaling 1.2 million dollars.

Radar Online reports;

When asked by Lisa’s Atlanta-based attorney if she’d ever used the N-word, Paula responded, “Yes, of course,” and gave examples of times she used the offensive term.

In terms of telling racist jokes, Paula said, “It’s just what they are — they’re jokes…most jokes are about Jewish people, rednecks, black folks…I can’t determine what offends another person.”

And when asked if she wanted black men to play the role of slaves at a wedding she explained she got the idea from a restaurant her husband and her had dined at saying, “The whole entire waiter staff was middle-aged black men, and they had on beautiful white jackets with a black bow tie.

“I mean, it was really impressive. That restaurant represented a certain era in America…after the Civil War, during the Civil War, before the Civil War…It was not only black men, it was black women…I would say they were slaves.”

The video taped deposition also has both Bubba and Paula Deen referring to the president as an N- word. How unbelievably delusional are they? Really?  This peanut butter gooey pie tower’s about to fall…y’all…..sorry I just had to add in a y’all…y’all…

Caveman Diet

Caveman Diet

Obesity has become an epidemic in the world specifically the western world. As with any anything that is fitness and health related there is always something new be it a gadget, exercise craze, or diet. Today dear friends this is gonna fall under diet. The Caveman Diet that is.

More than two million years ago our ancestors were hunters, gatherers, foragers etc… etc… There daily lives consisted of walking and tracking food sources for miles while they carried materials, and set up home along the way. There diets were made up of what nature provided naturally and what they were able to catch.

In today’s modern society we have become stationary and over fed with long lists of allergies to food and environments that continue to sky rocket in our society. Our own children have become intolerant of many of our man made foods and fast food source culture. We are looking back to our ancestors diets and activities in order to help correct modern day’s obesity problem.diet-caveman

Enter The Paleo Diet a.k.a The Caveman Diet. Very similar to the main idea of eating clean the Paleo Diet eliminates refined sugars, consists of higher lean protein intake, Omega 3’s/ healthy fats, and green leafy veggies. Because your body is limiting flour based carbohydrates your body immediately uses fat to burn when your metabolic rate goes up/exercising. This is far from a low carb diet it automatically limits unnecessary carbohydrates with a concentration on your body taking in complex carbohydrates. It teaches you to how to correctly eat. Something that our ancestors knew more about than we do now.

Here’s an Example;

Breakfast time; High Lean Protein meal go for 20-30 grams of protein

Lunchtime; Go for the greens! Have a large salad with healthy fats (almonds, fish, etc.) w/ a lean protein. Obviously if your having fish with your greens then you knocked out your healthy fats and protein intake 😀

Dinnertime; Eat a complex carbohydrate yams, sweet potatoes, or just a plain ole’ regular potato.

Tip; Be sure to make grains and dairy apart of this daily diet as well.

No Bull$*&t Edition;Abs

No Bull$*&t Edition;Abs

ABS.ABS.ABS. It’s like Jan complaining about Marcia…Marcia.Marcia.Marcia..! If I hear another person annoy me about abs I will go off on them! This is what I hear…

How do I get abs?

Why don’t I have abs?

But I think I’m starting to get abs?

My top two abs are visible but why are my lower abs not visible? -My personal favorite

Why? Because you DON’T have them. There is no such thing as, I have abs if your top two abs are visible? Hell no. Does Mr. Olympia show up to compete with his top two abs visible? That’s not abs that’s just a gut currently being whittled away into a pear shape. Truth hurts now deal with it. Your abdominals are visible when underlying fat over your abdominals are gone. There is no way in hell you have abs if you still have a gut over your lower abs. Please let’s get real people.

How do I get ABS?

If you want abs you have to do the following:

1.) Cardio

I don’t care if you don’t like cardio and it bores you. Too bad. We all hate it but if you want abs then you have to understand that cardio is necessary in order to burn existing fat that’s COVERING your abdominals.

2.) NO ALCOHOL

No. You CANNOT drink and have abs. Alcohol bloats, permanently slows down your metabolism, and will make you gain weight/fat. If you need more info on alcohol and weight gain read more here. If you choose to drink then stop wondering why your not meeting your goals of abdominal heaven. Cut the drinking OUT pick health over being a hot bloated mess. If you want to look fit and healthy you have to be fit healthy.

3.) Nutrition

Nutrition is a HUGE part of any physical goal. None can be more true than nutrition and abdominals. ABS are MADE in the KITCHEN. You ARE what you EAT. Ring a bell? It’s true. Here’s an easy equation for you cardio + clean nutrition= abs

4.) Consistency

I’m glad you were able to keep it clean and active for a week… now try several more at least. Just because you were able to stick to the program for 3 days doesn’t mean you should have a ripped vascular 6 pack by now. Patience is a virtue. Consistency is necessary. Drop the entitlement because you haven’t gotten what you want. People who have abs are dedicated to a healthy clean lifestyle for years, not days. Do the same.

5.) Lower Sodium and Dairy

This is pretty self explanatory. Both dairy and salt can bloat and no one want’s to retain water regardless if their on a diet or not.

6.) Don’t be a whiny little B&*ch

I get so annoyed with people who spend more time whining about them not having abs then they do actually following through with what they KNOW they SHOULD be doing. That’s why you DON”T have abs.

7.) Repeat #2 NO ALCOHOL

I don’t care how many times you ask me. HELL NO. You cannot drink if you want abs. If you can’t cut alcohol out of your diet and are upset you aren’t seeing results it’s time to do some soul searching. Don’t worry about you having abs worry about your loved ones prepping letters in an impromptu intervention. TRUTH. You won’t believe how often this comes up…

8.) Read # 6 AGAIN

I’m serious. Whiny entitled people don’t accomplish squat in having abs or anything else in life. Don’t waste time shut the hell up and just do it.

9.) Train you abdominals

Train your abdominals. If you want a sleek look then don’t use added weight just your own body weight (women). If you want your abs to pop then work your abdominals using added weights with resistance (men). More in depth info on abs here please read.

10.) Protein

This is also apart of nutrition but it’s a no brainer. Just like you break down other muscle and feed it protein to grow you need to do that as well with your abs. It’s no different. You need to properly feed your entire body (abs included) protein to see your gains. And no ladies the word “gains” is not a bad thing. Just because you pick up a 2lb. weight doesn’t mean your gonna look like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

11.) Obliques

Don’t forget to train your obliques. People forget to train these but if you want nice abdominals you need to train every part of them. Just like a nice butt deserves nice hamstrings your abs that run vertical deserve nice framing from your obliques. Do yourself a favor and work your “ribblets” out.

Non-organic foods that are just as good as organic just cheaper ;-D

Non-organic foods that are just as good as organic just cheaper ;-D

If your like most people buying organic is expensive and not a reality. You still want optimum health but life and finances take over… I completely understand this lady is on a budget. There is a solution!

Avoid buying non organic foods with a thin skin.

Example; apples, bell peppers, celery, cherries, imported grapes, nectarines, peaches, pears, potatoes, raspberries, spinach, and strawberries. Got it now?

The thinner the skin is of a fruit or vegetable the easier it is to contaminate by a pesticide permanently. You can wash that apple all day baby that toxin won’t come off!

Do buy non organic foods with a thick skin.

Examples; asparagus, avocados, bananas, broccoli, cauliflower, corn, kiwis, mangoes, onions, papaya, pineapples, sweet peas.

The tougher and thicker the skin of a fruit or veggie is the less likely it is to have toxins or pesticides in it.

Shopping Organic or just plain Bull$h*t?

Shopping Organic or just plain Bull$h*t?

Ok here is goes. The whole organic shee shee foo foo business broken down for you health and finance wise. Many people think that shopping organic is expensive and for rich folks that are full of  BS. That can be said of any obnoxious person of any economic background, the BS part that is. Many people have thrown the word organic around and annoyed the hell out of everyone about it...hence the eye roll when someone say’s organic. Buying organic food shouldn’t be advertised like a Louis Vuitton handbag it’s not an accessory… inferiority complex anyone?

Is shopping organic better for you?

Yes, shopping organic is better for you. It supports local farmers and does not contain chemicals and residual pesticides left on fruits and vegetables after they have been washed and handled.

Why is buying organic food so expensive?

When you buy organic food your buying from an organic farmer. Organic farmers go through a great deal of certifications and licenses to become organic farmers. They specialize in food without toxins which in itself it costly. That’s why you’ll see the noticeable markup in price compared to non organic food.

Anti-Smoking Campaigns Re-Launching

Anti-Smoking Campaigns Re-Launching

Government health officials have released a second run of anti- smoking ads/campaign to motivate people to quit smoking. The last campaign was graphic and so successful that it  ten thousand people quit smoking. A huge success in itself. The CDC spent over 48 million on the anti-smoking campaign that has taken real individuals who are dealing with serious side effects of smoking.

Smoking is the number one preventable cause of illness in the United States accounting for;

-The majority of the nations lung cancer deaths

-A primary cause of heart attacks

-Countless other diseases

The campaign is over a sixteen week period showcasing disfigured images and the realities of what smoking does to you. The previous campaign put it’s spotlight specifically on individuals living with these horrific, but very real negative aspects of smoking. The new campaign will feature what smoking does to individuals who surround the smoker, or are directly effected by smoking.

Tobacco companies spend more in one week on advertising than the CDC spends on one single campaign run (sixteen weeks). The current smoker rate in the U.S. is down to 20% one of the lowest percentages in fifty years.
