My New Obsession;Green Smoothies

I’ve been MIA for a while due to hernia repair/ removal surgery. Now that I’m finally back in action (and now know what is feels like to be a living gutted fish) I’ve had to be extra careful in my nutritional intake with my recovery so I had to find a way of getting in all of my nutrition along with specific “Super Foods” to speed up and better my recovery. The answer was…… GREEN SMOOTHIES!

Benefits of Green Smoothies

Energy- Nutrient dense foods give your body more fuel to use as energy instead of processed foods that our bodies instantaneously turn into fat!

Healthy Digestion- One of the most important things in healthy living are clean bowels. Yes, I know it’s not sexy or cute to talk about your BM’s but its necessary in order to rid your body of toxins. Green smoothies provide your body with a great deal of healthy fiber intake that will/help regulate your body.

Weight Loss- Self explanatory.

Beautiful Skin- You are what you eat! When your body regularly removes toxins your skin benefits from it as well. Your hair and nails even grow faster and stronger as well.

 

Healing Green Fruit Smoothie;

1 tablespoon of ginger (crushed)

1 banana

1 medium sized orange (peeled of course)

1 cup of orange juice (freshly squeezed….sorry Donald Duck)

2 cups of kale (i just grab 2 handfuls)

1/4 cup of mint leaves
